Dr Rakesh Jivan

Gold Coast Dentists welcomes Dr Rakesh Jivan in Maroochydore, for all their latest dental treatments and techniques, given gently by their caring team of dentists.

Rakesh graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Birmingham (UK) in 2000. After working for a few years within the National Health Service, he returned to university to complete his post-graduate studies in Restorative Dentistry at University College London to enable him to treat both simple and complex cases. Soon after this he became a partner in a large private practice in Royal Leamington Spa. Rakesh developed a keen interest in all aspects of general practice including the treatment of nervous/anxious patients, root canal treatment, crowns and cosmetic dentistry. Rakesh divided his time between general practice and teaching/lecturing throughout the UK and Ireland. After selling his practice in 2011, he emigrated to the Sunshine Coast to enjoy a more relaxed pace of life. He has worked locally in a private practice for the past four years. His desire to provide patients with affordable dentistry without compromising quality, material and equipment has led to the opening of Plaza Central Dentists – Maroochydore. Outside of work, Rakesh lives with his wife Natasha in Maroochydore where they enjoy the community life. He enjoys cooking, photography, stand up paddle boarding & travel.
